Awana is a program run by churches all around the world that exists to help children discover Jesus Christ and grow in spiritual maturity through games, study of the Bible, and the leadership of trained volunteers. Awana is an acronym for ‘Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed,’ a paraphrase of 2 Timothy 2:15 [show] Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. . There are three age groups: Grades K-2, 3-6, 7-9. They rotate through different activities each night and receive awards for their achievements. The key feature of the program is it’s fun and enjoyable for the children! The games are competitive, but accessible to a variety of ages and abilities.

Awana runs from September to June each year at our church. Club nights begin at 7:30 on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th (if there is a 5th) Friday nights each month and finish at 9:30. Check the calendar at the right of this page if you’re not sure.

Noteably, there are two adult groups that meet during that time at the church for fellowship and Bible study. One is Cantonese-speaking and the other is Mandarin-speaking. Check out Awana.org for more info on the program in general.

Awana是一個世界各地很多教會均有採用的兒童活動，旨在幫助兒童認識耶穌基督，藉助遊戲、學習聖經及訓練有素之義工的帶領，使其靈命成長。Awana是提摩太後書二章十五節『作無愧的工人』英文 ‘Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed’ 之首字母縮寫。Awana分三組：幼稚園至二年級、三至六年級、七至九年級。每組每次活動時輪換不同的節目，並按考勤成績予以獎勵。節目的主要特色是有趣味性，讓孩子們樂在其中！並有多種帶有競技性質的遊戲，以適合不同年齡
及能耐的兒童。

本堂Awana由每年九月開始至翌年六月結束。活動時間是每月逢第一、第三及第五個禮拜五晚上的七時三十分至九時三十分。如若仍有疑問，請參閱本頁右側的行事曆。
