Awana is a program run by churches all around the world that exists to help children discover Jesus Christ and grow in spiritual maturity through games, study of the Bible, and the leadership of trained volunteers. Awana is an acronym for ‘Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed,’ a paraphrase of 2 Timothy 2:15 [show] Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. . There are three age groups: Grades K-2, 3-6, 7-9. They rotate through different activities each night and receive awards for their achievements. The key feature of the program is it’s fun and enjoyable for the children! The games are competitive, but accessible to a variety of ages and abilities.

This Friday is the last Awana night for the year. It will start with a BBQ 5:30 to 6:30, followed by the year-end awards ceremony running 7:00 to 8:00, and will finish with a final prize table time. The whole event will be done by 9:00 at the latest....
