VBS 2021 Children's Summer Camp
This year, Oakridge Baptist Church is hosting a virtual Children's VBS from August 3 - 7, 2021. Registration closes Fri, July 16, 2021 @ 12:00am (Or at full capacity, whichever comes first). To register, please fill out this Google Form. PLEASE fill out one form per child.
Our Virtual VBS will be facilitated by our volunteers online via Google Meet. Your child will be connecting with other minors who have registered in the community. Children may also watch videos created by our volunteers and do the activities on their own time. Each child will receive a VBS package with items included. Items will be packed carefully and can be picked up at our church in advance. Pick up date(s) to be announced.
Medical Information & Media Consent
We do not require any medical information this year as children are not being dropped off at our facility. In the unlikely event of an emergency in the midst of video conferencing, families are entirely responsible and a trusted adult MUST always be at home. By pressing submit in the Google form, you are giving permission to our church to take any pictures, footages or screenshots during camp for the Sunday VBS Celebration Service (August 8, 2021).
Possible Physical Gathering
Given the constantly changing provincial health orders, we wish to remain flexible with how we carry out this year's VBS. If the province opens up more, we might consider hosting a physical gathering for the children right after the Sunday VBS Celebration Service (August 8, 2021) at our church. None of this is confirmed yet. We expect that not every family will be comfortable yet to permit their child to attend a physical gathering. If we ever come to hosting such a physical event, we will send out another information email with an opportunity for parents to be informed and to consent to the event.
