Jack Chen

Pastor Jack was born and raised in Mainland China and came to Canada in 1995. He was saved by grace through faith and baptised shortly after his arrival in Canada. With his two short-term mission trips to China in 2017, he realized God’s calling for him to full-time ministry. Therefore, he resigned from his professional career in 2018 and went to The Master’s Seminary in Los Angeles for his biblical and pastoral training in 2020. He graduated with a Master of Divinity degree and returned to Vancouver in May 2023.

Pastor Jack began serving as a regular preacher at Oakridge Baptist Church in January 2024. In September 2025, he was called and installed as the full-time pastor of Mandarin Ministries at OBC.

Jack is husband to Alicia, and together they have two adult children who also live in the Metro Vancouver area. Jack enjoys reading and studying the Bible. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and is also learning to play pickleball.
